Exam Preparation English Courses

English examination preparation course
  • Maximum 12 students per class
  • Minimum age 16
  • Each lesson is of 60 minutes or 90 minutes duration
  • Minimum level – IELTS and First Certificate – Intermediate, Cambridge Advanced – Upper Intermediate
  • Combine with one-to-one lessons
  • Enrolment on exam in London (exam fee extra)
  • Regular practise in all areas of the examination
  • TOEFL and TOEIC preparation takes place in one-to-one lessons enabling you to focus on the exam of your choice. Quatorial lessons can be offered at our Executive Centre also.

IELTS

IELTS is the exam designed for students wishing to study at a British or Australian university and can be taken at a testing centre in London every week but you must book the exam in advance. This course begins every Monday throughout the year and the exams take place in London twice a month on Saturdays.

Cambridge First Certificate & Cambridge Advanced Certificate

The Cambridge exams are internationally recognised and provide employers and some academic institutions with a clear notion of your level of English.

A semi-intensive course will prepare you for the exam looking a exam skills (i.e. skimming and scanning a text for details), past papers and vocabulary expansion. An intensive course will include the morning exam preparation and during the afternoon you will concentrate on improving your general English knowledge, in particular speaking and listening skills.

The CAE and FCE exams take place 3 times a year in March, June and December and need to be booked in advance.

FCE Exam in August 2010 – Summer Exam Skills

This course takes place every Monday from 5th July 2010 to Monday 23rd August 2010. These lessons focus on the different skills required to sit all 5 papers of the First Certificate Examination. This course is ideal for those planning to take the FCE exam in August 2010 or later this year. Also, it is suitable for those taking exams in English at university or college and students wishing to be challenged academically and have set goals to achieve.

The semi-intensive exam preparation course will take place in the afternoon from 13:15 – 16:00 (12.5). this will prepare students for all 5 papers of the First Certificate Examination.

The intensive course combines general English accuracy lessons (grammar and vocabulary expansion) in the morning with FCE exam preparation in the afternoon.

A minimum 4 week intensive course is recommended for those taking the exam in August. The exam must be booked in advance, the deadline is the 3rd August 2010
